The title and imprint are taken from the title-plate (pl. I). The anonymous text is attributed to Sir H.C. Englefield in the BM General Catalogue (see BAL). It is prefaced by a fly-title reading `Some Account Of The Cathedral Church Of Durham; Illustrative Of The Plans, Elevations, And Sections, Of That Building. London: Printed By W. Bulmer And Co. Cleveland-Row, St. James's. 1801.' (Bulmer's imprint appears also on p.14). Copy Notes With the plates protected by tissue guards (those protecting the double-page plates have been excised in this copy). Bound (4) with the Society's publications in the same series on St Stephen's Chapel, Westminster (q.v.), Bath Abbey (q.v.), and Exeter Cathedral (q.v.). With an engraved binder's ticket pasted to the verso of the first front free-endpaper reading: 'Bound by Benedict, No. 4 Mays Buildings, St. Martin's Lane, London.'

Binding C19th diced russia, upper and lower covers with gilt-ruled central panels, gilt-ruled and blind-tooled borders, gilt-tooled turn-ins, blind and gilt-tooled spine, marbled endpapers.
