Part III only, with publishers' wrappers (not included in the collation). The printed front wrapper is headed 'Part III. Sept. 1, 1835. (Two Sheets and Thirteen Engravings.) Royal Octavo, 12s.', and carries an apology for the delay in the publication of this number. Surprisingly, the two previous numbers (the first issued in June 1830) are not in Soane's library. The fourth and final number appeared in 1838, by which time Soane was dead. Copy Notes Inscribed in pencil on the front wrapper 1866--1896, the dates specified by Soane for the opening of the receptacles sealed according to his instructions. Unopened. Bound last in a collection of pamphlets.
Binding Later C19th half calf, blind double-rule borders, brown cloth boards, blind- and gilt-ruled spine, black spine-label, gilt-lettered 'Pamphlets / Carlisle'. Numbered '52' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
