Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on half-title J Murray/ 1796 and on title-page Frances Gor[?]/ Giving by J Murray 17[?], cropped on right edge by the binder. Annotations in ink in English on pp. 52 and 78. Bound (2) with E. Burke, Two letters ... on the proposals for peace with the regicide directory of France, 1796 (q.v.), T. Bowdler, Tentamen medicum, 1776 (q.v.), and his A postcript to the letters written in France, in 1814, 1815 (q.v.).
Binding C19th half calf, gilt double-rule spine, black spine-label lettered 'Burke's Two Letters &c.', later numbered '20' in a series of pamphlet volumes. Edward Lawrence was paid 1s. 6d. for half binding, 15 March 1802. (Spiers Box).
