Issued as suite 8 in Dumont's Recueil de plusieurs parties de l'architecture, 3 tomes, c. 1770 (q.v.). This suite does not have a title-page; the title is taken from the engraved 'Catalogue' at the end of the volume. Plate 1 is numbered as suite No. 8. The 'Catalogue' calls for 9 feuilles or leaves of plates. These consist of an unnumbered 'Plan général d'un Jardin avec Belveder et bosquets ouverts pour conduire à un Parc' engraved by Taraval, plates numbered 1--7, and a final unnumbered plate engraved by Poulleau and bearing two images, 'Elevation d'un Salon en forme de Temple, pour ... une partie de Parc' and 'Moitié de Plan du Salon, ou Temple cy dessus'. In the Soane copy, plate 6 is misnumbered '5' and shows a 'Projet d'une Décoration interieure pour une Salle à manger' engraved by Bichard, apparently unconnected to the theme of the series and possibly misbound here. The Millard and Berlin copies both distinguish a suite 8a, consisting of 4 numbered plates on two leaves illustrating a 'Projet de Temple de la Paix, Composé ... en 1762', which (together with the 7 numbered plates of suite 8) are counted in Millard towards the total of 9 feuilles. These 4 plates are not present in the Soane copy. Millard I, pp. 167, 171; Berlin Kat. 2416.
