Lord Richard Cavendish, second son of the fourth Duke of Devonshire, died unmarried in 1781. ESTC n31735.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting half-title. Bound (1) with works of poetry by the 5th Earl of Carlisle, 1773 (q.v.) and Anna Letitia Barbauld (née Aikin), 1773 (q.v.). Inscribed in pencil on title-page 2/-. Front paste-down inscribed in pencil This Volume contains/ Poems by the Earl of Carlisle/ and/ Poems by A.E. Aiken with the name, address and date in ink (partly obscured by Soane's die-sinker bookplate) R. Wiltshire/ 31 Hatton Garden 1797.

Binding C18th mottled calf, red spine-label lettered 'Poems'. Later numbered '92' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
