LO STUDIO
Lo Studio. ... [No. 1, May 29, 1833; no. 3, June 26, 1833]
25.7 cm. (8°)

Title taken from the front wrapper of no. 1. Only three numbers of Lo Studio were apparently published fortnightly at 6d. each by Frederic Lawrance, whose imprint appears on the front wrappers together with those of Westley and Co., Bristol; Guest, Birmingham; Young and Co., Dublin; McPhun, Glasgow; Willmer and Smith, Liverpool; Wheeler, Manchester; Wright, Nottingham; Whittaker, Sheffield. According to the preliminary Address, the title would not be repeated at the beginning of each number of the periodical "entirely dedicated to subjects connected with the Arts of Painting, Sculpture, Architecture, and Engraving", but only on the wrapper so as to give the appearance "rather of a connected work, than of a periodical publication, ...". Four supplementary numbers were planned during the year, to contain engraved portraits of Reynolds, Flaxman, Wren and the engraver William Sharpe.
