Anonymous; by Anthony Pasquin (i.e. the artist and writer John Williams who adopted the pen-name in 1786). First published in 1796. A reissue of the first edition with the title-page partly reset to include the edition statement. Satirical verse in the form of letters between Carlton House and the Pavilion at Brighton. The engraved title-page vignette is by F. Bartolozzi after a design by Pasquin. Issued later as part of: Satires and biography. By Anthony Pasquin ..., London, [1805?]. ESTC t3293.
Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the half-title. Bound after James Kennedy, A new description of the pictures, statues, ... and other curiosities, in the Earl of Pembroke's house, at Wilton, 9th ed., 1779 (q.v.).
Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, black spine-label. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 1s. 8d., 23 June 1829. (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.6.29). Later numbered '108' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
