First edition. With an initial licence leaf and a list of subscribers. Pote's popular abridgement in French and English, entitled Les Delices de Windsore, 1751, was already in press at the time of publication of the larger work. The pagination omits pp. 47 and 48 which are replaced by a folding plan. Title-page printed in red and black; dedication to Frederick, Prince of Wales printed in red. ESTC t95997.

Copy Notes Bought from Thomas Boone for 7s., 8 July 1807. (Spiers Box). Inscribed in pencil on front paste-down 7s/ Curious plates and on the front free-endpaper in another hand 18/.

Binding C18th full sprinkled calf, gilt-tooled and double-ruled spine, red morocco spine-label.
