The first and third plates are lithographed: the first with numbers supplied in ink, the third with letter-press caption and title. The text is signed by Charles Tyrrell and William Anderson, engineer. Tyrrell was articled to Soane in 1811, became his student at the Royal Academy in 1815 and remained in his office until 1817.

Copy Notes Preceded by a lithographed letter signed by Charles Tyrrell and dated 28th July 1823 (q.v.), issued to accompany copies of the present work. Bound in a collection of pamphlets.

Binding Later C19th half calf, blind double-rule borders, brown cloth boards, blind- and gilt-ruled spine, black spine-label, gilt-lettered 'Pamphlets / Carlisle'. Numbered '52' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
