The vendor has been identified as 'Mr. Huybers' (see BM, English book sales 1676--1900, p. 144). Lot 281, a presentation copy of Percier and Fontaine's Palais, maisons, et autre edifices modernes dessinées à Rome, [1798], which is described as 'entièrement colorié par M. Percier mème, et presenté par lui à Madame Bonaparte', was bought by Soane (q.v.). Not in Lugt.
