The title-page imprint is undated. With a half-title. A street directory first published in by Patrick Boyle as The fashionable court guide, or the town visit directory in 1792 and issued annually with variant titles, imprints and sizes until 1925. Eliza Boyle succeeded to the editorship following the death of Patrick Boyle in 1808. See separate entries for other editions in Soane's library: as Boyle's Court and county guide, 1806, 1813, 1815, 1817, 1819, 1821--23; as Boyle's Fashionable court and country guide, 1825, 1828, 1831--35. In this edition Soane is listed (as 'J. Soane, arch.') at 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields (p. 98); his neighbours are his tenant G. Booth Tyndale at No.12, and Christopher Puller is listed at No.14. In October of the previous year Soane had purchased 14 Lincoln's Inn Fields from Abel Moysey for £1480 in order to rebuild the house, creating a new Picture Room and Monk's Parlour for his Museum.
