House of Commons 201. Docket-title reads 'Further Papers Relating To The Building A New Infirmary, ...'. The penultimate leaf is blank. Soane as Clerk of the Works to the Royal Hospital is signatory to several letters cited in the Report and the source of the plans of the site and proposed new infirmary building. The first set of Papers was published on 20 April (q.v.), and a further set (continuously paginated with the present one) on 8 June (q.v.).

Copy Notes Bound (3) in a volume of parliamentary publications relating to Chelsea Hospital, 1807--1812. There are three MS. attachments bound in between the fourth and fifth plates: (1) An ALs (formerly folded and with the remains of a seal) addressed to John Soane Esqre / Lincoln's Inn Fields, signed by John Smith and dated 26 Sackville St Feby, 23rd 1823 ... agreeable to your request herewith send / the several prices of timber ... with a leaf of prices; (2) Small square of paper inscribed in ink by Soane on both sides with notes for a character reference for an unnamed plaisterer on the recto, and rough notes on Gothic Architecture on the verso; (3) A large folded sheet with chain lines and Britannia watermark dated 'Fellows / 1817' inscribed in ink in Soane's hand on the first recto with the text of two songs in French: Quand Louis me dit / ma Louise / Je t'aime & m'aimerai / que toi / ...' (16 lines), and Tandis que tout sommeille / Dans l'ombre de la nuit / ... (10 lines).

Binding C20th blue cloth, gilt-lettered spine.
