In fact mostly an original work by Linche, based on Vincenzo Cartari's Imagini de i dei de gli antichi, 1550. The first leaf is blank. STC 4691; ESTC s107896; Pforzheimer 133.
Copy Notes Without the first blank leaf [A1]. Inscribed in ink on the title-page Joseph Bevan in several places with date 1720; the work is dedicated to 'M. Peter Davison' and the name Davisson is inscribed twice in ink on the dedication page. Some classical names inscribed in ink on the final pages.
Binding C17th century sheep, blind double-ruled borders and lines parallel to spine, traces of paper spine-label.
