Drop-head title. William Cobbett's Political Register was launched in 1802 and maintained by him as editor under various titles until 1835. The issue Vol. IX, No. 4 for Saturday, January 25, 1806 includes the report of the funeral of Lord Nelson from the London Gazette of 18th January.
Copy Notes The issues for 14 December 1805 (Vol. VIII No. 24) through 19 April 1806 (Vol. VIII No. 16) only bound together in a pamphlet volume; wanting vol. IX, no. 3, 8 and 15. Columns 561--577 misbound at end.
Binding Later C19th half brown calf, blind-tooled borders, blind-ruled and gilt-dotted spine, brown binder's cloth boards. Numbered '105' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
