Volume I was issued last, with a title-page dated 1822, and includes a list of subscribers at the end of vol. I.; the remaining volumes have half-titles including the volume contents. Volumes II--III, VI--VII, X, XII and XV have colophon 'Printed by J. Moyes'. Frontispiece portrait of Taylor in vol. I engraved by C. Warren. Two copies of the Prospectus for Taylor's Works are also in the Soane Museum (q.v.).

Copy Notes Supplied under subscription by James Moyes (2 more volumes of Taylor's / Works) on 31 July 1821 (Priv. Corr. I.M.12.6), and 21 January 1822 (following a breach with Soane occasioned by Moyes being the printer of The Magazine of the Fine Arts, q.v., in which remarks critical of Soane had been published in 1821) in the following terms Permit me to solicit, ... / that / you will permit me to / complete your copy of / Taylor's works, which / is now all published, / excepting the first vo-/ lume, which will con-/ tain Taylor's Life by the / Revd. Reginald Heber. (Priv. Corr. I.M.12.8).

Binding C19th diced calf, gilt roll-tooled borders, gilt-ruled spines, red spine-labels. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for £2 2s. 6d., 5 September 1829. (Archives 7/10/19, book binding).
