First edition: 1784. Joseph White, a theologian and orientalist, was invited to give the Bampton lectures for 1784 and chose as his topic a comparison of Islam and Christianity, in which he was assisted by Samuel Badcock and Samuel Parr, although this was not acknowledged until six years later. With blank leaf Kk8 at the end of the main text. ESTC t220300.
