Parallel text in French and English on facing pages. As specified in the parallel title in English, Bagster issued a series of inexpensive Bibles in several languages, intended to be interleaved, forming a pocket edition of his Polyglott Bible (1816). The present copy of the New Testament in French is interleaved with the text in English printed on india paper, which has the imprint dated 1818. Parallel half-titles read 'Le Nouveau Testament' and 'The English Version Of The Polyglott Bible: The New Testament oOf Our Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ.'.
