'W.H.' = William Hodson. Leaves A1 and E10-12 are blank. The title-page (pi2r) is engraved and signed: 'W Marshall sculp:'. Caption title on page 1 and running title: 'Sancta Peccatrix'. Imprimatur (leaf E4r) 'Imprimatur Cantabrigiæ. R. Brownrigg, procan. Tho. Bainbrigg. Jo. Cosin. Chey. Row.'. The final leaves (E4-9) contain various dedicatory verses, one in Greek. STC 13555; ESTC s123530.
Copy Notes Without blank leaves E11-12. Inscribed in ink on verso of front free-endpaper Jno: Haynes and in pencil recto of initial blank leaf [A1] -1-. Some early ink annotations, and marks of emphasis in margins throughout.
Binding C18th calf, gilt double-ruled borders with corner ornaments, gilt-tooled spine, red spine-label.
