Drop-head title at start of catalogue reading 'Catalogue of Pictures by the Late William Hogarth, Richard Wilson, Thomas Gainsborough, and J. Zoffani. Exhibited by the Permission of the Proprietors, in Honour of the Memory of Those Distinguished Artists, and for the Improvement of British Art. To Which are Added Etchings Distinguishing the Names in the Florentine Gallery and Royal Academy'. Includes lists of the governors, the subscribers, and a preface. The catalogue is signed 'John Young, Keeper'. Price at foot of imprint: Price one shilling. Soane features amongst the proprietors lending the complete set of Hogarth's Rake's Progress (North Room - West Side) while Mrs Garrick also released the 'Election' series for the exhibition.
