Drop-head title. Single sheet, vertical chain lines. A list of 21 works. The firm of Christie and Ansell functioned in the period 1779--1784; the Royal Academy moved from Pall Mall to New Somerset House in 1780.

Copy Notes Bound (5) in a collection of miscellaneous catalogues mostly published between 1779 and 1785, including the Royal Academy Exhibition catalogues for 1779, 1782, 1783, 1785 and 1795 (qq.v.). The previous item in the volume, the Royal Academy Exhibition catalogue for 1783, is annotated in ink on the title-page also/ Exhibition of Jervais's Stained Glass./ and/ Barry's Historical Exhibition; the following item, a Catalogue of a series of pictures ... by James Barry is also dated 1783 (q.v.), suggesting this date for the publication of the present work.

Binding C18th quarter white sheep, blue paper boards, spine ink-lettered 'Miscellaneous/ Catalogues &c.'. Later numbered '16' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
