Not in Lugt. Coins and medals from the Redland Hall Museum were sold by Christie's in London, 12--14 July 1821 (Lugt 10085). Lot 198, 'Superb and interesting jewel, said to have been executed for Charles the First' is the 'Naseby Jewel', acquired by Soane at this sale: 'In the centre is the figure of the king surrounded by military trophies, surmounted by the crown, and a lion couchant at his feet, the whole formed of fine enamelled gold set with rubies and diamonds'.

Copy Notes Marking in ink against lot 198 'Superb and interesting jewel'. Bound in a collection of sale catalogues of 'Articles Of Virtu', 1833 to 1836.

Binding Later C19th half calf, maroon binder's cloth boards. Numbered '23' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
