Also issued, with separate title-page, pagination and register, as part of Sebastiano Resta, The portraits of the most eminent painters, and other famous artists, that have flourished in Europe. ... London: printed for and sold by Joseph Duke, 1739. ESTC n17670.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting title-page. (Title taken from BL 133.e.5). Bound first with four sale catalogues dated 1801 and inserted between earlier boards (see binding description below). A small printed label giving a price of '18s' pasted in on front paste-down; the lower paste-down is inscribed in pencil 0/2.

Binding Without covers. Early C19th gilt-tooled morocco(?) spine, with labels gilt-lettered 'Catalogs Of Pictures &c', later numbered '46' in a series of sale catalogue volumes. Loosely inserted at a later date between C17th red morocco boards originally belonging to a different, unidentified book, with gilt-tooled central panels containing elongated lozenges and corner pieces within elaborate gilt-tooled borders of foliate ornament incorporating hunters and animals, gilt-tooled floral fore-edges. The boards with white paper paste-downs pasted over earlier green paper ones.
