First edition: 1815. Frontispiece portrait of Captain Hamilton Roche by John Swaine after Friedrich Rehberg. Imprint at end 'Paris. Le Normant, imprimeur du Roi'. Text within decorated borders. Includes on the two unnumbered pages at the end on the recto 'The Tears Of England! On The Lamented Death Of His Royal Highness The Late Duke Of Kent', and on the verso 'Letter From The Late Duke Of Kent' signed 'J. Parker, Private Secretary' dated '19th Dec. 1810'. The pagination is continuous with that of Hamilton's poem Salamanca with publication date of 1831 (q.v.), which also concludes with 'The Tears Of England!'.

Copy Notes Sent to Soane together with a copy of Hamilton's Salamanca, 1831 (q.v.) from Mary Hamilton Roche, accompanied by a letter hopeful of subscriptions. Bound (8) in a collection of pamphlets, with the previous instance of 'The Tears Of England' treated as item 7.

Binding Later C19th half brown binder's cloth, grey paper boards. Numbered '104' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
