Article 218 is William Owen's portrait of Soane. This had been exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1805 and now hangs in the South Drawing Room at 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields. Soane appears on the list of donors at £52 10s. (as in 1830, q.v.) and again for a second donation at £26 5s.

Copy Notes With an ALs tipped in at the front thanking Soane for the loan of and returning the Portrait of Soane by Owen (article 218), signed on behalf of the Society by R.B. Davis / Secry. The letter solicits also the possible loan of works for future exhibitions. Bound (13) in a collection of miscellaneous exhibition catalogues 1809--1834.

Binding C19th half brown morocco-grained cloth, grey paper boards, gilt-lettered spine title. Numbered '87' in a series of sale catalogue volumes.
