Richard Heber, the great bibliomaniac, died in 1833 and the disposal of his library extended over thirteen sales in London between 1834 and 1837, conducted variously by Messrs. Sotheby (parts 1--3, 9--10), Evans (parts 4, 6--8, 11) and Wheatley (parts 5, 12--13), and further sales on the continent. See W.Y.
