Printed but not published. The name of the printer appears on the verso of p. [1] and p. 23. The address was delivered in 1815 when Abernethy was elected surgeon.

Copy Notes Bound in a collection of pamphlets. The plain paper wrapper, bound in, is inscribed For J. Soane, Esq. with Mr Abernethy's respectful Compliments. Soane's son, George, studied at St. Bartholomew's Hospital under Robert Pennington in 1810.

Binding C19th half calf, marbled-paper boards, gilt double-rule spine, black spine-label lettered 'Spiller & Spencer's Address &c &c', numbered '24' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
