Cold-Bath Fields was the house of correction for Middlesex. Soane became a Justice of the Peace for Middlesex in 1810.

Binding Later C19th pebble-grained maroon binder's cloth, gilt-lettered spine reading 'Insurance & Societies'. Later numbered 'B' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
