Soane, Mrs Soane and John Soane, jun. are listed as life subscribers. Soane was present at the inaugural meeting of the Artists' General Benevolent Institution on 20 June 1814, possibly at the invitation of Barbara Hofland, and continued to take an active role in its affairs, acting as one of the trustees for several years together with Chantrey and Turner.

Binding Later C19th brown morocco-grain binder's cloth, gilt-lettered on spine 'Artists' / Societies'. Later numbered 'F' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
