Issued apparently without accompanying text, at a time of financial crisis in the affairs of the Institution in 1809 which was followed by a restructuring of its membership. The documents were approved by a joint meeting of the Managers and Visitors on June 12, 1809, and it was instructed that 750 copies should be printed and circulated to the membership. See Morris Berman, Social change and scientific organisation: the Royal Institution, 1799--1844, London, 1978, pp. 95--9.

Copy Notes Bound last with Observations on the past growth and present state of the city of London, 1751 (q.v.) and A bill ... for regulating the commencement of the year; and for correcting the calendar now in use, [1751] (q.v.).

Binding C19th marbled-paper boards, blue grained binder's cloth spine, gilt-ruled, gilt lettered 'Pamphlets - London'. Numbered '63' in a series of pamphlet volumes.
