A publication date of 1745 is suggested by Landi's address to the reader in which he pays tribute to the memory to his teacher, Ferdinando Galli Bibiena, who died in 1743. BAL, Early printed books, no. 1725
Copy Notes The Soane copy has the letterpress leaf folded and the engraved plates bound double-page on stubs. Bought at Lord Lyttleton's sale, 1-6 July 1823 (q.v.), lot 19, for £1 2s. with a copy of Kent's Designs of Inigo Jones, 1727 (q.v.). Front free-endpaper with earlier prices in pencil 1.1.0 and ink 15-.
Binding C18th laced-case vellum, red morocco spine-label, blue and white marbled-paper pastedowns.
