The publication of this work and an exhibition of his Greek paintings in 1822 earned its author the nickname of 'Grecian Williams'.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the half-titles. A number of the plates are cropped by the binder with loss of the captions.

Binding C19th calf, gilt roll-tooled borders, gilt-ruled spine, maroon spine-labels. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson for 5s. 8d., 1 February 1830. (Archive 7/14/36).
