Henry Salt, painter and Egyptologist employed Giovanni Belzoni as his agent when serving as Consul in Cairo, and later offered his collection (including the Sarcophagus of Seti I, now in the Soane Museum) for sale to the British Museum.

Copy Notes Deckle edges. A list of Works ... published, ... by F.C. and J. Rivington (q.v.) is attached to the front free-endpaper. Unsigned bill dated 17 Decr 1817, paid by draft / 19 Decr 1817. Price was 5 guineas, sells 5/5/0 paid 4.4.0.
