Letterpress title-page and contents leaf, listing 21 plates, with colophon at foot: Luke Hansard, printer, Great Turnstile, Lincoln's-Inn Fields. The first report was published in 1796, the year in which the Committee was appointed, and the second in July 1799 (q.v.). A cancel slip still present in Soane copy 1, extending the contents to XXIV plates and bearing the same colophon and instructions to the binder, was later issued with three further plates and six leaves of letterpress supplement to the third report (q.v.). Neither the extra plates nor the letterpress supplement (paginated [4], 143--149, [1]) are present in any of the Soane copies. Plates XIII--XIX of the present work depict George Dance's scheme for the Legal Quays and a new "double" London Bridge. Binding Copy 1: Original C19th blue paper wrappers, white paper spine, printed title-labels for the drawings of the respective second and the third reports attached to the upper wrapper, clumsily repaired with C20th tape.
Copy 2: C19th grey paper boards, original printed title-labels for the drawings of the respective second and the third reports attached to the upper cover. Bound by Edwin Hutchinson 'elephant folio b[oar]ds' for 12s. 6d., 3 February 1831 (Archives 7/15/22 binding).
