The Morning Chronicle was first published in 1789 in continuation of The Morning Chronicle and London advertiser, and was previously edited by Soane's friend James Perry. This issue includes continental reports from France and Spain and the introduction of censorship in France with a notice of Mr de Chateaubriand's pamphlet on the censorship; and an account of the action at Missolunghi.
