Folded half-sheet. Drop-head title. Docket-title reads 'Report Of The Provisional Committee Of The Bank of Savings, ... Read at the General Meeting, the 1st February, 1817'. The first annual report of the Bank was published in 1818. The savings bank was one of many established in different localities of the metropolis at this period whose chief object was the 'public security of small sums of money'.

Copy Notes Part of a collection of papers respecting the institution, accompanied by an ALs in ink, dated 11 April 1817 and signed by H.W.
