Folded half-sheet, conjugate leaf blank. Alfred Bunn had become lessee of the Patent Theatres and was seeking to re-introduce the 'maximum' scheme of salaries for actors which had been suspended in 1823.

Copy Notes Accompanied by a printed notice (18.6 cm): 'Mr. Bunn presents his compliments to Sir John Soane notifying him of his place on 'the Free List of the Theatres Royal, Drury Lane & Covent Garden, for the ensuing season. Prince's Place, Covent Garden, October 1, 1833'. (Archives 7/F/20/1). Previously folded as an envelope addressed To / Sir John Soane / Lincolns Inn Fields, red wax seal.
