To the inhabitant householders of the United Parishes of St. Giles in the Fields, and St. George Bloomsbury.

Quarter-sheet, verso blank. Drop-head title. Signed by 'George Rogers, Chairman of the Committee, No. 58, High Street, St. Giles, April 30th, 1828'. An appeal against the proceedings of the 'self-elected individuals of the Parishes in Vestry Assembled' and their management of the financial affairs of the Parishes, resolved and adopted, to be printed for circulation. George Rogers, a tobacconist, radical member of the National Political Union and later a delegate at the first Chartist Convention of 1839, was active in the affairs of the United Parishes from this time and through the period of the Reform Bill.
Copy Notes Wrapped and accompanied by an ALs addressed to John Soane Esq. / Lincoln's Inn Fields, inscribed in ink Geoe Rogers begs to enclose to each Vestryman / a copy of the Appeal which has been circulated / throughout the Parishes ... 58 High S. S. Giles / May 3 1828. Later ink docket-title in an office hand 1828 / 3d May / S. Rogers / Select Vestry / St.Giles Parish.
