Drop-head title. Founded in 1828. Weekly. The first editor was J.S. Buckingham. Substantive entry on Sir John Soane ('Living Artists. No. VII', p. 650): '... He would do well to collect all his works into volumes, accompanied by plans and elevations, and employ some safe and sensible friend to give an account of them and their author. When he dies, strange work will be made in his biography: for the man and his works are not well understood'. Also included is a feature on King's College, London, illustrated by engravings of its entrance and front.
