Half-sheet, verso blank. Drop-head title. The Garrick Club was established in 1831 with the goal of combining 'the purposes of a Club, with the advantages of a Literary Society, by bringing together the Patrons of the Drama, and Gentlemen who are most eminent in their respective circles.' Soane's name appears in the list of members, whose number was initially limited to 200.

Copy Notes Enclosed with the proceedings of the general meeting of 15 October 1831 (q.v.) in a cover sheet dated 19 October 1831 signed by the secretary J. Winston.
