Folded half-sheet, conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. Printed letter addressed to presumed supporters of the Whig candidate, William Mainwaring, at the Middlesex Election of 1802 inviting them to subscribe to a fund to liquidate the sum of £2700 incurred by way of expenses. Similar excesses and uproar no doubt contributed to Gillray's interest in the election campaign of 1804 which is more extensively covered by Cobbett's articles in his Political Register in support of the campaign of Francis Burdett (q.v.). Daniel Hinley served as one of the Chief Clerks in Henry Selby's Office as Clerk of the Peace at Clerkenwell. (Archives 7/H/4/1/1).
