Daily newspaper. The Irish Times was first published between 15 October 1823 and April 1825; it continued as the Irish Times and Dublin Journal from 11th April 1825 to 18th July 1825.

Copy Notes Folded. Markings in pen against a column headed 'Mr. Philipps's Lectures on singing and vocal music' (delivered at Freemasons' Hall) on p. [2]. Sent to Soane by Philipps as referred to in a letter accompanying the syllabus of the second lecture (q.v.) dated Jany 22 [1824] I took the liberty a few days / since of addressing to you / a Dublin paper containing one / of many reports of the 1st of the two lectures you did / me the favour of talking about / with me last autumn in / London .... (Priv. Corr. XIII.B.29.10). Philipps had given lectures in Dublin and was to do so later in Cork in 1825, hence perhaps the interest of the Irish press in the London series. See Mr. Philipps's Lectures on singing, 1824 (q.v.); see also Freeman's Journal and Daily Commercial Advertiser, Dublin, January 29, 1824 (q.v.); and Saunders's News-letter, and Daily Advertiser, Dublin, January 29, 1824 (q.v.).
