Parisian daily newspaper. Unpaginated, in principle four pages to each issue, numbered by column 7,481--23,612. Imprint and sub-titles vary. From 8 juin 1832, 'Publié Sous Les Auspices De 92 Députés (Chambre De 1831)'. Founded in 1829 (precursor of Le Monde) by Jacques Coste (one of the signatories opposed to the Ordonnances of 26 juillet, 1830) and Jean Jacques Baude, hostile to the government of Polignac (under Charles X) taking as its model The Times of London in style and in strategy, in particular, of its team of foreign correspondents. It represented the centre-left interest under the July Monarchy.
