Drop-head title. Docket-title reads '1834. Institution Of British Architects. Prospectus'. The resolution to form the Institution was passed at a meeting of 'architects and surveyors' at the Freemasons' Tavern on 8 January 1834 (q.v.). BAL, Early printed books, no. 2859.

Copy Notes Some type-setting marks (?) in pencil. This is probably the 'accompanying paper' sent to Soane with a circular letter dated 30 April 1834, requesting permission to propose his name to the general meeting to be held on 16 May as the first president of the Institution. (Priv. Corr. V.A.1.6).
