Folded half-sheet, final verso blank. Drop-head title. Edward Houseal and his wife Mary's establishment for the education of young Englishmen in Paris was to be found at 9, rue des Dames in the Batignolles district in 1826 according to an earlier prospectus datable to that year from an accompanying ALs from Mrs Houseal to Soane (q.v.), but 'removed in 1828 from the Batignolles to the present eligible Situation, ...' (1830 prospectus, q.v.), suggesting a date of 1828 or 1829 for the present, undated prospectus. The list of 'References' in Paris, London, Liverpool and Manchester does not include Soane's name, which is added in the prospectuses for 1830 and 1831 (q.v.).
