Folded half-sheet, first verso and conjugate leaf blank. Petition for the office of Comptroller from Timothy Tyrrell, currently 'City Remembrancer'. Tyrrell, a childhood friend and influential supporter of Soane, continued in this office to which he had been appointed in 1793 until his death in 1832.
