Folded sheet; verso and conjugate leaf blank. Signed and dated at foot 'William Mellish. Bush-hill Park, October 31, 1806'. Mellish, previously elected member of parliament for Grimsby in 1796 and 1803, was returned for Middlesex in 1806, and held this seat until defeated in 1820, speaking on several occasions in defence of the Bank of England. (ODNB s.v. Mellish).

Copy Notes Previously folded and sealed as a letter and addressed in ink John Soane Esq / Hol. Row / Lin. Inn ffds, red postal frank 'Lombard St. / 2 py P Paid'. Architectural sketches of plans and a façade in pencil on inner recto [for developments at Pitzhanger?].
