Half-sheet. Drop-head title. Secretary: James Thomson; 'Treasurer and ex-officio Director', Peter Laurie. A more extensive account of the Society was published under the same title in 1821 (q.v.). Soane was elected to membership of the Society on 6 November 1828. (Priv. Corr. XIV.A.5.)

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink On the 28th. March. Accompanied by an ALs from James Thomson dated February 17th 1821, inviting Soane on the suggestion of the Society's president, the Duke of Sussex, to allow his name to go forward as a steward for the ensuing Anniversary Festival. The prospectus and ALs are tipped into Soane's draft reply dated 22 February, accepting the honour although professional arrangements will prevent / me from attendg. ..., and requesting a list of members. Printed invitations to the Anniversary Festivals for 1826 and 1829 and a printed ticket for the Festival for 1828 are also in Soane's archive. (Priv. Corr. VI.M.2.3,6,5).
