Drop-head title. Signed '29th of January, 1834. Nicholas Carlisle'. A prospectus for a scheme to establish schools 'in the Feroe Islands, in Iceland, and in Greenland', including some introductory descriptions of the islands. Carlisle, employed firstly by the Royal Library and then the British Museum, was an antiquary and topographer.
