Drop-head title. Docket title 'Case Of Mr. James Sadler, Late Chemist, And A Member of the Board of Naval Works, at the Admiralty'. Includes an 'annexed Statement and Correspondence' relating to Sadler's financial embarrassments occasioned by his dismissal without compensation in 1809. James Sadler had directed his attention to the improvement of aerostatic machines and was famous for his ascents in ballons. The prospectus includes an additional appeal to equip his balloon with apparatus to make experiments during a new ascent proposed for July 1810.
