Folded half-sheet, first verso and conjugate leaf blank. Drop-head title. Printed letter announcing the Charity's anniversary service and dinner. Signed 'Edward Foss, Secretary. February, 1827.' 'With a view of extricating the Charity from its present difficulties, ... I also enclose a sheet of paper, properly entitiled and ruled, for the names of those Friends whom you may persuade to become contributors.'

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink in an office hand Ticket retd to Mr . Foss 7 Febry 1827. Previously folded as a letter addressed in ink to John Soane Esq / 13 Lincolns Inn Fields and endorsed Asylum for Female / Orphans. / Letter Mr Foss / enclosing a Ticket. With a loosely inserted letter from Foss dated 5 May 1828, thanking Soane for his donation of 5 guineas.
